The Langata Giraffe Centre is one of the most well-known in the world of conservation. They have been operating since 1979 and have defined the way animal protection, conservation and education has grown over the years.
The Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organisation, which aims to educate Kenyan children about wildlife and the environment, as well as offering local and international visitors the opportunity to come into contact with giraffe.
We visit this centre as one of our optional activities for any trip that starts or finishes in Nairobi.
