The Kingdom of Swaziland is one of the smallest countries in Africa yet it has a very unique identity. Much of this is based on traditions passed down from their ancestors. The nation has had a ruling monarch since at least the 18th century and they are a central part of the Swazi culture. There are many cultural events through the year that the whole country participates in. The nation is also world renowned for its handicraft production.
The country itself is no more than 200 km wide however it contains many different ecosystems and terrains. There are cold mountain areas as well as vast dry plains in the lowlands. It is possible to see all of the 'Big 5' here although big cats are rather rare. Rhinos are more commonplace as well as elephants, giraffe and zebra.
