Zanzibar & the Cape Zanzibar - Cape Town

Trip Overview

A wonderful trip that connects Zanzibar and the Tanzanian Swahili Coast with the bustling city of Cape Town. This trip offers some of Africa’s finest beaches from the white sands of Zanzibar, through to the shores of the beautiful Lake Malawi.

We visit some of Africa’s best wildlife parks, such as South Luangwa, Chobe, Hwange and Etosha National Parks. But the two wildlife experiences, you will never forget, will be canoeing down through the Lower Zambezi region and walking with White Rhinos in Matobo National Park.

If you want spectacular scenery then this trip tops the bill and nowhere shows this more than the wonderful dune scapes of Namibia’s Namib Desert and the vastness of the Fish River Canyon. If you are after wilderness, none is better that Botswana’s incomparable Okavango Delta, which we will explore by dugout canoe. Finally, this journey has the greatest icon of them all, the incomparable Victoria Falls.

REVIEWS FROM OUR PASSENGERS

Didn't expect the activities to be as good as they were, and they were well organized. The canoe trip, game drives, mokoro trip, etc were all verygood fun and the local guides were great.

Overall I am very impressed with how virtually every aspect of the trip was well thought out and planned. Health and security policies - like very frequent hand cleaning and sanitizing are a good example. This is no doubt due to your careful attention to years of experience. I realize external circumstances do change some plans. Really enjoyed the interpretive walks like the spice plantation in Zanzibar and forest walks in Okavango Delta, and the San village. The Great Falls of the Zambezi (aka. Victoria Falls). All the drives, cruises, and walks to see animals, especially in South Luwanga and Etosha parks. The great views of the planets and stars - especially stars never seen at home. The fabulous easily seen geology of Namibia.- dunes, pans, fossils canyons, layered, sharp or smoothly rounded peaks, vast plains. Also the rift valley with a great “finger shaped “ Lake Malawi. The canoe and mokoro trips. San rock-art and rhino hikes with a most excellent guide in Matobo Park. The great beobab trees. A camp very near the Orange River after 11 days of (beautiful) desert.

The guide Ian at Bulawayo and Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe was excellent - keep him around. The cook on this tour - Kingstone, was exceptional. He catered very very well for vegetarians. He is such an asset to Dragoman.
